What are lifegroups?

LifeGroups are small, Bible-centered gatherings that meet before our main service at 9:30 AM. It's a time for deeper connection, meaningful discussion, and spiritual growth in a more personal setting. Whether you're new to faith or have been walking with Christ for years, LifeGroups are a great way to grow together and build community.
We have several classes located throughout the campus. Each classroom has a name plate associated with each Lifegroup leader.
Every Sunday morning at 9:15! Bring a friend, and don’t forget your bible!

- While Don Wright is no kid, he may be the Life Group leader that gets the most giddy about each week’s lesson. Don knows the Bible, yet he manages to find new, deeper truths each week during his extensive preparation. With an analytical mind and an unwavering dedication to God’s Word, you can count on Don’s teaching to be deep and meaningful. Get equipped this week and visit the Wright Life Group!

Young Adults
Kevin’s contribution to the thriving Young Adult ministry has been recent and dramatic. Shortly after joining Stepping Stones church, leadership became aware of Kevin’s lifelong journey of being equipped for teaching – ever since he was a teen actually! Kevin and his wonderful wife and Care Leader, Hanna, with God’s help, have fostered a high-trust, very open and conversational Young Adult life group that caters to those from approximately 18-35 years of age. You must experience it to understand the power that comes from God’s Word in this context of our young adults, both married and not-yet-married. Kevin has a passion to disciple new believers and has the spiritual maturity and knowledge of The Bible to each even those who have been followers of Jesus for years. Come see this Sunday what God is doing with this amazing group!

A follower of Jesus since she was a young girl, Erika, now a mother of two, has blessed the church with dedicated, faithful and passionate leadership of our student ministry we like to call Lighthouse Youth. They even have their own building in which to meet! Providing Christ-centered education for middle school and high school youth, Erika understands the need to allow our younger folks to expend bottled-up energy and has outfitted their classroom area with numerous games and materials to help the kids connect, relate and learn. They have fun fellowship, meaningful learning and even some snacks in between!

Robert is also our Adult Life Group coordinator! In lock step with church leadership, Robert shares responsibility for vetting new teachers (and associate teachers and substitutes) while also ensuring all classes are covered each week. His teaching is highly application based and Robert’s warm personality and love for Jesus and God’s people shines through with each lesson. Robert is our most tenured teacher. He knows the Bible and he knows the church – come visit his class Sunday!

Bob Hyatt is a true student of the word. He holds a Masters degree and is currently pursuing a doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theology Seminary. Bob’s style reflects his educational leanings, and students in his class benefit from frequent dives into God’s word that are even deeper than the material might initially prescribe. Bob’s class tends to attract the mature and the intellectual, and he would love for you to visit his class on Sunday!

Vern Sager is a man who always has a smile on his face. He absolutely loves teaching, and he does so in a comfortable, accessible, warm and welcoming way. He enjoys class discussions on the various topics and endeavors to bring fun anecdotes and topics each week to keep things lighthearted and interesting while still maintaining strong biblical integrity. Vern, his wife and outreach leader, Lori, and their partner sister in Christ Janice (the group’s care leader) will be glad to see you Sunday!

Bret Dahl is our resident scientist! He is a lifelong learner who recently attained a Doctor of Ministry degree. He, along with Care Leader and wife, Sarah, leads his class in a relaxed, open and conversational manner suited to Christians who have known The Lord for 80 years as well as 80 seconds! With a heart for foreign missions and a mind that is gifted to extract scientific fact from God’s truth, Bret is a highly respected teacher and Deacon at Stepping Stones Church.

Perhaps inspired from years of military service, Mark brings an intentional and no-nonsense approach to teaching God’s word. His devoted class enjoys rich, well-prepared weekly teachings that help deepen the faith of those who follow Jesus. His powerful personal testimony comes through in his confident and direct teachings. Don’t let his mild manner fool you – Mark is on fire for The Lord! Come meet Mark and his amazing Care Leaer and Outreach Leader, Debbie this Sunday!

A follow of Jesus for more than 50 years, Clint Pruett is a champion of evangelism, and a US Army retired recipient of the prestigious Bronze Star! He brings a passionate, unashamed approach to teaching and spreading God’s Word and leads an engaged Life Group with the help of his precious wife, Connie who is an Outreach Leader and their faithful sister in Christ, Sue Harrington who looks after the various needs of the class.
