How to Become a Christian

  • We all need salvation.

    “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
    Every one of us has sinned and needs God’s forgiveness.

  • Sin has consequences.

    “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23
    Our sin separates us from God, but He offers eternal life through His Son, Jesus.

  • God made a way.

    “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
    Jesus died in our place so we could be forgiven and restored to God.

  • We must respond.

    “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
    Becoming a Christian means turning from sin, trusting Jesus as Savior, and declaring Him as Lord of your life.

If you’re ready to take that step, you can pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and invite You into my heart and life. I want to trust You and follow You as my Lord and Savior.”
