Our Pastor
In 1990, God led Pastor Jeff Nyberg to plant Cornerstone Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, which he pastored for 13 years. As time progressed, God burdened him with a sense of great need and tremendous urgency of planting churches in order to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. Jeff discovered that out of the 7 billion people in the world, less than one billion are considered to be Christians, which meant that 6 billion were lost and headed for eternity in hell without God.
Pastor Jeff established Stepping Stones Ministry to facilitate the planting of Christ-centered churches. The ministry has facilitated 29 church plants to date. 2011 brought a new challenge, to see seven new churches started in the next three years.
A church planting church body would provide the back bone for each of these church starts, all located in the north Dallas area. Each church would be named Stepping Stones Church and will support each other in outreaches and prayer. The churches will meet together on a quarterly basis to share testimonies of God’s blessings.
The first of these seven churches will be located in the Northwest McKinney/Northeast Frisco area. We began forming as a church body in February of 2011 and meet in the warehouse located at 1918 University Business Drive in McKinney just behind Walmart at the corner of 380 and Custer Rd.
